The Dosatron is driven by water, so it is only natural that it should be utilised in the treatment of water & wastewater in many different situations. Volumetric operating principles allow for accurate & reliable proportional dose rates responding directly to water flow irrespective of fluctuations in flow rates & pressure (within operating limits).
Typical applications are listed below, and we would be pleased to discuss any other opportunities where the Dosatron can be utilised.
Chlorine is a highly efficient disinfectant often used to decontaminate water, particularly from sources which could harbour potentially harmful bacteria & other pathogens. We offer a variety of Dosatron models for dosing chlorine, usually in the form of sodium hypochlorite, into water for effective disinfection.

Depending upon your exact requirements, it may be necessary to predilute your additive prior to injection through the Dosatron or to install your Dosatron unit on a partial bypass system. We would be pleased to discuss in more detail.
We also offer Dosatron models which are suitable for use with other water disinfection products for the control of legionella, pseudomonas and other bacteria & pathogens. Please contact us to discuss specific additives including hydrogen peroxide, chlorine dioxide and any other specific additives.

Use of appropriate corrosion inhibitors & biocides is essential to maximise the operating life & efficiency of closed pipework systems containing water. Dosatrons are used to accurately dose these additives into water as it flows into the system.
We work closely with water treatment contractors and service providers to supply suitable water treatment systems, which typically include two Dosatron units in series – one for inhibitor and the other for biocide. We also offer dosing rigs as shown in the image.

Water soluble polymers are used for the removal of organic and inorganic solid particles suspended in wastewater. For the dosing of polymers which can become viscous when mixed with water we would recommend the Dosatron D25WLIEVVFPO and dynamic mixer.
The Dosatron D25WL2IEVVFPO developed specifically for dosing polymers for coagulation & flocculation. This model offers a dose rate range of 0.2% to 2% at water flow rates from 10 to 2,500 litres per hour and features external injection with a special self-cleaning valve to reduce clogging & frequency of cleaning. We recommend fitting a Dynamic Mixer in line after the Dosatron unit to help homogenise the polymer solution.
Once mixed, the polymer solution can be transferred to a maturation tank from which it can be dispensed for wastewater treatment.
